広島で被爆しながらも奇跡的に無傷で残った「被爆ピアノ」を修復して全国で演奏会を開く調律師・矢川が出会う人々を通して広島からのメッセージを伝える「おかあさんの被爆ピアノ」をパウエル祭で上映します。
主人公は、調律師・矢川と、自分の母親が祖母の被爆ピアノを寄贈していたことを知った大学生・江口。被爆ピアノを巡るそれぞれの複雑な思いが交錯する物語です。映画は実在の調律師をモデルに描いた作品で、主演は矢川を佐野史郎さん、大学生の江口を武藤十夢さん（AKB48）が演じています。
映画は約2時間、日本語で英語の字幕付きです。

“Hiroshima Piano” Film Viewing at Powell Street Festival
In Hiroshima, there was a piano that remained unharmed after being scorched by the atomic bomb. This piano, known as “the Hiroshima piano,” has become a symbol of hope and resilience. The stories of various people are woven into the history of this piano through the efforts of the piano tuner who carefully maintains it.
The film’s story was inspired by the life of Mitsunori Yagawa, a piano tuner who restored this instrument and embarked on a journey across the country.
The film is about two hours in Japanese with English subtitles.
